Dedication to Dr. Craig Joseph Yennie Ph.D. ’12

On May 4, 2017, friends and family of Dr. Craig Yennie gathered to remember his life and dedicate a tree in his memory. In November 2016, the Department of Chemistry received the sad news of the passing of alumnus Craig Yennie, who graduated with a PhD in Chemistry in 2012. Craig was the inaugural Ph.D. recipient in Prof. Sarah Delaney’s laboratory.

After obtaining his PhD, Craig Yennie '12 served as an adjunct lecturer in the Chemistry Department overseeing hundreds of undergrads in the Organic Chemistry and Equilibrium, Rate, and Structure laboratories. Faculty, staff, students, and alumni spoke fondly of Craig, sharing memories and celebrating his impactful life. We are also incredibly thankful for the Rev. Janet Cooper Nelson, University Chaplain, who led the dedication.
